Let’s Help the Missionaries

Many people in other nations don’t know about Jesus, so they worship false gods, or “idols,” which are really demons. Our enemy the devil and his demons hate Jesus. They are very jealous of Him, and don’t want anyone to know people can be saved and have a wonderful life in Jesus.

Because most people in other nations don’t know God and are really worshipping the devil, they are cursed–they live in a very bad world of wars and famines, which means there is often shooting and other terrible things going on.

Many have no food to eat and die. Many children never get to go to school. And there is no medicine or doctors to help them when they are sick, so lots of them, even children, die of bad diseases. Many are put in prison; sometimes they are killed.

God wants these people to know He loves them. They are a big part of the “harvest” Jesus talks about; like fields of crops ready to be picked. So God sends “missionaries” to these nations to tell them Jesus died to save them and give them a wonderful life. (Luke 24:4647)

The missionaries are like farmers who plant seeds, or “sow,” in the soil of these nations. The missionaries take the “seeds” of Bibles, food, water, medicine, clothing, candy, toys, and more and sow them into the “soil” of those people’s lives. And the missionaries teach the people to understand the Bible, and to pray and worship the Lord. All of this shows that God cares about each person.

Missionaries need our help to do this. When we help, it is just like we were there with them, sowing the seeds and reaping the harvest!

Here are several ways you can start helping missionaries today:

PRAY.
If you have Jesus in your heart, then your prayers are powerful and effective! (James 5:16)

Missionaries need lots of people praying for them every day. They need your prayers! Pray that God will keep them healthy and safe, give them the right words to say to all the people they talk to, and give them new ideas to help the people understand more about how Jesus loves them.

Pray that God will speak to more people’s hearts so they will pray for the missionaries and give them money and other things they need. God supplies their needs through people like you and me.

Also, pray, like Matthew 9:37 and 38 saythat the Lord will send more people to be missionaries to other nations.

See, the Bible says that Jesus cannot return to earth to reign as King until every living person has had the chance to hear about Him. (Matt 24:14) But the more missionaries we send and help, the faster all the people in the world will hear the Good News, and the faster Jesus can come back, which is the very best thing that could ever happen!

The Lord may even call you to become a missionary when you are older, and tell people in other nations how good He is. So when you pray for missionaries, that is a powerful help to them! Your prayers are spiritual seeds that will bring good fruit.

TELL. Tell others about the missionaries, and ask them to send money and pray for them. God will use the seeds of your words to bring fruit in other people so that they will help the missionaries spread the Good News of Jesus in other nations!

GIVE. Give money to help the missionaries buy Bibles, candy, toys, or other things the people need. After you give God your tithe (1 penny out of every 10 pennies (Mal. 3:10)) from the money you earn or from gifts you get, ask God what He would like you to give to the missionaries.

You can also give your time to help people at your church put together gifts for the missionaries and the people they tell about Jesus. When you give your money or time or anything else to help the missionaries, you are sowing more spiritual seeds that will bring good fruit.

God is the one Who blesses the seeds we sow, and causes them to grow fruit. When the fruit is ready, He often allows us to reap, or rejoice in, that fruit. (John 4:36) But even if we don’t reap on earth, we will reap in Heaven. This means Jesus will reward us for all the seeds we have sowed! (Rev. 22:12)

So let’s get busy sowing spiritual seeds for Jesus, and we will all reap!

Cocaine to Butterfly: The Power of Decision

(This is a true story and names have been changed, but names are the only thing that has been changed!)

Two days before I met Darlene, she decided to give up cocaine—for good–and the LORD met her where she was and started working mightily in her life.

When I went to the library that morning, I wasn’t thinking about a divine appointment, and I didn’t know that. I got out of my car and saw Darlene walk up over the hill, but really didn’t think much about it; there were people there often from the homeless shelter next door.

We happened to get to the sidewalk at the same time, so I asked her how she was doing. “Not too good,” she said, and I sensed a true heaviness in her.

I looked at her. “Do you have a loving church family praying for you?”

She shook her head. “I got out of jail in October, and have been sleeping wherever I can since then.”

It didn’t matter about her past. I felt she was telling me the truth. What mattered was now, and but for the grace of God, I could have been her. (I’ve never done drugs like that, but I still had challenges and temptations to overcome, as we all have!)

I turned to her and said, “Do you know the LORD Jesus Christ as your Savior?” And she was honest. “No…..”

I recognized what God was doing. “Then you can know Him right now! He can be your Best Friend! And He is so good! He has a wonderful life for you!”

I led her in the prayer and she, crying, received the LORD!

Still being cautious because the enemy attempts to deceive, I was on high alert, listening in my spirit for any warning from the Holy Spirit.

I didn’t get one, so I proceeded. “Have you not been able to get into the shelter?” I knew the managers were kind Christians because my husband and I had ministered there every month for years.

I had a slight dart of fear, wondering what she’d done and why she couldn’t get in. But I knew that fear was from the enemy, so I ignored it. My mighty God had my back. Through the blood of Jesus, I had a covenant of protection with Him.

“Why can’t you get into the shelter?” I asked again.

“I don’t have my ID card. But I can get one if I can just get to the Department of Finance and Administration. They have my records.”

“So you don’t have a job, or a husband?”

“No.” And she held up a loaf of bread. “The Friendship Center feeds me every day.”

I hesitated. We had cut up all our credit cards a couple years before, had made a vow not to borrow any more money from anyone, and were radically attacking every debt in our lives while we continued to tithe and give to various ministries. But I made the decision to trust God to guide me and to supply. “I don’t carry cash or a checkbook,” I told her. “But I have a two quarters to call my church and see if they can help. How much do you need?”

“It’s just $15 to get my ID card,” she said. And, again still checking with the Holy Spirit and feeling peace, as well as being surprised at the very low fee, I called my church. I queried them about programs, not knowing if we had any in place yet, although I knew it was a goal. And I asked them to pray. The LORD had orchestrated this whole thing, and my pastor was there and he and his daughter said they would cover me. That reassured me even more.

I put down the phone and told her, “Tell you what. I believe my husband and I can help you. But I have a few things to do. Meet me here at 2:00. I WILL be back.”

She hugged me and said, “Okay, I believe you.”

“Some of us ARE sincere,” I told her.

I finished my other errands and went home. And just like someone enjoying giving at Christmas, I went around the house, gathering things for her, i.e., a well-used Bible that my husband had just replaced for my birthday, personal items, my beloved battery-operated radio, even a butterfly ornament that I’d felt strongly should not be packed up with the Christmas tree—but should be kept out to remind me that this was my year of transformation. I wanted to keep it, but believed it would mean a lot to her, so I made the decision to give it to my new sister in Christ.

After all, this was also the year of transformation for Darlene!

“Thank You, LORD, You bless us to bless others!” I told Him. We Covenant people are so very wealthy with the goodness of God!

I packed some chocolate chip cookies that I’d made the day before, and put in some other snacks and goodies as well. I was tickled to give this to her, and thought, If I’m this excited to help rescue and restore someone, and to give to her—when I don’t even know her—then how much more is God eager to give and bless and rescue and restore, and He knows all about us, but loves us anyway!

We got in the car and I could tell she was nervous. She had also had to make the decision to trust, and I was glad she did. It may have been out of a sense of desperation, but sometimes that’s what it may take for us to make necessary changes.

We drove to the finance and administration office, just a few blocks away. Again, I knew the city buses ran close enough, and she could have walked. But I also knew this was my assignment, to help Darlene be rescued and on the road to restoration.

When we walked in, one of the clerks whom I’d met a few weeks before asked, “Can I help you?” I pointed to Darlene and said, “I’m here to help her.”

Darlene gave the information needed to get her card, and I talked to some of the other personnel, most of whom I’d known for years. I invited one to my church again, and testified about how the LORD had recently instantly healed my neck in a service, and how the LORD had healed another friend of mine years ago of a very painful back condition.

Shortly, Darlene turned to me and said, “It will just be $5!” I believe that small price was the favor of God too. I paid for the card, then made the decision to give the other $10 to her, for I’d thought that the price would be $15 for the card anyway. Darlene just looked at me, like I’d given her a thousand bucks, and said, “Really?!”

My heart ached. I wish I’d had a thousand dollars to give her, and I knew I felt a very slight part of what our tender Father God, awesome in His unfailing mercy and love, feels for each of us. And as much as He gives, He wants to give more.

Then again, I was more blessed than she, because I had made the decision to work with Him, so that He could give her the most priceless gift of all—eternal life. And truly, the little bit of time and money and possessions I had shared with her were nothing, nothing, nothing at all, compared to Him giving His life for hers!

How gloriously humble and awesomely, sacrificially, completely IN LOVE with us is our Father God, Who pities us, Who is so eager to deliver us, to cover us, to restore and bless us!

The LORD blessed us and the clerk found Darlene’s information. She went over to get her photo made, and as I smiled at her, I announced to a woman who had just come in, “Darlene just received the LORD Jesus Christ today!” I didn’t know if the woman was a believer or not, but she must have been, because she beamed at us.

“I can’t believe I got my ID card!” Darlene said, as we left. And I praised the LORD for His favor.

We headed to the shelter, and the clerk told us there were no beds available for women. “Show us what to do, LORD,” I whispered. I made the decision to wait on the LORD and trust Him to work on our behalf.

Meanwhile, one of the men who helped run the desk knew me and gave Darlene and application. “Can I put you down as my emergency contact?” she asked.

I made the decision to continue to trust the LORD. “Yes. Put me down as a friend. And here’s my phone number, but please don’t give it out; it’s private.”

“Yes ma’am,” she said. And I knew in my heart that she would keep her word.

A couple minutes later, Darlene whispered to me, “Should I put on there about me doing cocaine, even two days ago? But I haven’t done it since then.”

“Yes, tell everything. Tell the truth,” I told her. “I believe being honest will help.”

Meanwhile, I chatted with the gentleman that had given her the application. “You know, none of us can judge another, for every human is born with a criminal record—until the blood of Jesus washes it away!” He nodded, and I could tell that he hadn’t thought of it that way before.

She signed the application and waited. I believe she made the decision to trust in the LORD’s mercy and goodness.

Then the main manager who knew my husband and I heard my voice, stuck her head out of the office, winked at me and said, “Just a minute.”

She rearranged things—God is The Rearranger!—for Darlene to have a bed and be able to stay there!

I immediately had Darlene raise her hands to Heaven with me and repeat after me, “Thank You LORD Jesus for letting me get into the shelter!”

Then I led Darlene outside and prayed with her. I led her to renounce all of satan’s works in her life in Jesus’ name and ask Jesus to help her be strong and get to know Him. I told her that asking Jesus into her heart was the BEST thing she’d ever done, and that He had a wonderful plan for her life, and that it would get much better from here.

Darlene was amazed at how He moved for her at the shelter and otherwise.   She’d made the decision two days earlier to give up cocaine, and I believe the LORD honored her desire for a new life–and sent someone to introduce her to JESUS, the TRUE LIFE!

She had made the wisest decision of her life to call upon the holy LORD of Heaven and earth Who is Love, and He–Who had already made the decision to rescue and restore her over 2000 years ago–answered.

Follow Me

Isaiah 43:18 says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.”

I treasure that verse. And I remember a time when I was first learning to make that verse part of me, and to truly let go of past mistakes.

Then, my daughter Victoria was 4 (she is now 22, just graduated college, and about to be married to her long-time sweetheart, whom she met at church camp over 8 years ago! God is good!), and she and I were dancing to Jesus. We were praising the Lord to the music of Pastor and recording artist Danny Chambers. We were full of joy and blissful, in our bare feet on the plush rug in front of the stereo.

I had my eyes closed, and had learned to worship in freedom with my hands raised, reveling in the presence of the Lord. Tori was following me across the rug.

“Mama!” I heard my little one say, “Can I walk in your footprints?”

I stopped, and looked down at the places where I’d stepped. Thoughts of the past hit me–a quiver full of the enemy’s fiery darts. For a moment, I hesitated, and almost said, “only those (footprints) that follow Christ!,” but then, the Holy Spirit rose up in me and reminded me that there is NOW no condemnation to those of us in Christ Jesus, that I was to forget the past, for HE had freed me from many bondages (AMEN!).

I knelt down beside my little one, hugged her, then looked deep into her eyes. “Yes, Baby,” I told her, “you can follow me because I follow Jesus!”

Prayer: Dear Father in Heaven, help us to follow You in spirit and in truth, that we may lead our little ones in every right way, to Your glory and their benefit! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

How to Experience God

10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it [a]overflows). John 10:10 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

We are created to experience God and live the abundant life (“Zoe” in Greek) that Jesus died for us to have!

Here are a few ways that you can truly experience God:

  1. Thankfulness. You have much to be grateful for, and every good thing comes from our good God!
  2. Prayer. What a privilege and honor to be able to communicate in a personal relationship with the Creator and Sustainer of Heaven and earth, through Jesus Christ, His Son! Prayer is basically talking to God. There are many ways to pray, for various purposes. God hears our prayers when we pray in His Will (I John 5:14-15).
  3. Praise and Worship. God is worthy of all honor and glory. And, praise and worship is not nearly as much for Him (He already has all the elders and saints in Heaven, and all the holy angels, worshiping Him forever!), as it is for us–to make us thankful and aware of His Presence, and because when we magnify Him, it gives Him greater access to work wonders among and for us! Praise and worship can involve singing; playing insTruments; raising hands; dancing to His Glory; rehearsing His goodness to you; reading His Word out loud; serving in the Church and community and wherever you are to His Honor; giving finances and prayers and encouragements and possessions…
  4. Reading His Word. The Bible is God’s Library of Love Letters to you! It spells out His will, and is the Answer for successful life. When you read it out loud, it is even more powerful!
  5. Listening. First of all, we should stop our business and rest and listen to God. More than one pastor has stated that “God is always speaking, but we need to listen.” We also show respect when we take time to truly listen to others; God usually uses other people to minister to us!
  6. Enjoying God’s Creation. Even one tiny ant, one tiny leaf, has so much amazing creative thought and design and power in it! Elohim (the Hebrew name for God the Creator) is infinitely wise and the Master Creator, Artist, and Engineer of all things good! Can you imagine what the world must have been like BEFORE the Fall?!). Go sit in the gentle sunshine in a peaceful park or other place and just rest. The LORD often speaks through nature, and truly, as Psalm 19:1 states, “The Heavens declare the Glory of God and the earth shows forth His handiwork!”

Of course, you must be born again by faith in what Jesus did on the cross (John 3:16) to be able to be part of this Royal Family and partake of this sublime life! If you’re not, just tell the LORD JESUS out loud to forgive you for your sins, come into your heart and cleanse and save you, and be your LORD and Savior. HE WILL! All who call upon the Name of the LORD will be saved! (Romans 10:9-13)

Then go tell someone whom you can trust to rejoice with you. Next, ask Him to lead you to a good Bible-believing Church, and to the right Bible for you, if you don’t have one. He will!

If you would like more information on any of these things, or need prayer, or want to have us rejoice with you at your salvation, contact us at ministry@RiverRainCreative.com!

FORWARD!

5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.–Proverbs 3:5-6 AMPC

This has become a theme verse for my husband and myself. So many times, when we were starting to wilt a bit in our faith, the LORD would send a minister or a radio announcement or a magazine article (Note: Of course we were watching, listening to, and reading things that glorify God, for this wisdom does NOT come from the world!) or even a person across our paths to remind us of this verse!

So, He was encouraging us to KEEP THE FAITH, to KEEP ON BELIEVING, KEEP ON WALKING WITH HIM; KEEP ON DOING RIGHT!

He is a Rewarder of us who seek and follow Him, and when we obey and serve, we spend our days in prosperity (which includes finances but is much more than that!) and our years in pleasures, amen (Job 36:11)!

You may not believe me, but once, the LORD spoke to me, and said, “….Full speed ahead!” and another time, when I was just tired and weary physically and emotionally (and spiritually?), He said to my spirit, “Keep moving forward.”

Now is NOT the time to slow down. NOW is the time to keep doing all the right things you’ve been doing, and ask for His wisdom to do more. He can help us do more.

I don’t mean wear yourself out trying to perform. For you see, when GOD is the Author of what we do, there is a Grace and an ease and a sweetness to it, not to mention deep satisfaction, amen!

Serving our Father God, the Father of the LORD Jesus Christ, is SOOOO worth it!

Let’s pray:

Father, I love You and I thank You for Your wisdom in Your Word and through other avenues that You bring across my path. Thank You that You keep teaching me Your ways to help me become more and more obedient–and thus more and more blessed with the Abundant Life (Zoe, John 10:10) that Jesus the Christ died to give us! Forgive me for allowing my faith to weaken. LORD, keep drawing me and keep me strong in You, and thank You for it! In Your name, amen!

Have Your Way, LORD

2Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21 (AMPC)

The LORD always knows what needs to happen, and when we are yielded to Him, He orchestrates our lives into something more wonderful than we could imagine!

Take today, for instance. I partnered with a dear sister and her husband to present workshops on Your Holy Health (Get your FREE copy of my book by the same name by clicking here). It was in a public facility, and although they are very supportive of nonprofits, and although (of course) the base of my teaching would be the Word of God and what He created in nature to help us, I had determined to “stay on task” and focus mainly on how to be healthier by using natural, organic, and Non-GMO products, that was not really God’s Plan.

Instead, His Plan was for us to pray for people and otherwise encourage and minister to them–while teaching them many things about health. Hallelujah! We go with His Plan!

We Are Confident!

We are certain, undaunted, confident, because He has overcome the world and deprived it of its power to harm us! John 16:33

We are also confident of this very thing: That He Who began a good work in us will see it through to completion until the day of Jesus Christ! Philippians 1:6.

Hallelujah!

We may not FEEL confident. I have not FELT very confident the past few weeks, but I know my God is FAITHFUL, and faith is NOT a feeling!

Praise Him!

So let’s pray: Father, our confidence–meaning our trust–is in YOU Who never fails. You cannot be unfaithful; You are forever faithful–You give us every breath, and we praise and thank and trust in You, forever! Please strengthen us with might in our inner selves today; give us grace to release all our worries and fears to You, for You love us, died and rose again for us, and ever live to pray for us and work all thing together for our best and Your glory, amen! THANK YOU!

Acknowledge vs. Submit

I was listening to “Rivers in the Desert” Scriptures on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imJZlhOsPKM&t=9031s (WOW at the magnificent waterfall!!) today, and although I have listened to them many times the past few months, I heard “submit” instead of “acknowledge.”

The verse (Proverbs 3:5 and 6) says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”

I had taken this to mean that, when we recognize (that’s what “acknowledge” meant to me) the LORD and thank Him for having directed us, and for directing us in the future (We can totally trust Him!) , then that opens the way for Him to direct our paths–because we are thankful and trust Him and want His direction.

All of this is good. However, when I heart the word “submit” I had a different thought, for to me, “submit” means bowing the knee; giving up my plans for His; doing things His way; and also, “putting it all on the altar” and being willing to give up whatever He wants to change–even if it is never restored.

So, today, Proverbs 3:5 and 6 took on even deeper meaning, and that’s the way the Word works–deepening Revelation, as we continue to sow His living Word into ourselves! So, with His help, I am truly submitting to Him in all my ways, and then, because I am willing to do whatever and change whatever and agree with Him, He is able to help me understand the straight Path for my life. Hallelujah!

He is Joyfully Faithful!

Psalm 6:4, TPT, “Yahweh, return to me and deliver my life because I know your faithful love is toward me.”

Psalm 12:6. TPT, “For every word God speaks is sure and every promise pure. His truth is tested, found to be flawless, and ever faithful. It’s as pure as silver refined seven times in a crucible of clay. “

Psalm 22:5, TPT, “Every time they cried out to you in their despair, you were faithful to deliver them; you didn’t disappoint them.”

Psalm 25:8, “When people turn to you, they discover how easy you are to please—so faithful and true! Joyfully you teach them the proper path, even when they go astray.” ( I really love this; He JOYFULLY teaches us the proper path, even when we’ve had to repent for going our own stubborn way. Ask me how I know!)

Psalm 25:10, “All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful for those who follow the ways of his covenant.”

Psalm 25:21, TPT, “Your perfection and faithfulness are my bodyguards, for you are my hope and I trust in you as my only protection.”

We don’t like to wait, especially in America. But God is faithful, and always working. We bless the LORD forever! He never slumbers nor sleeps, nor grows tired nor weary. What the enemy meant for evil, He is
always working \ together for our good (Genesis 50:20)! HALLELUJAH!

Rain On Me

Although some people don’t like rain, rain the in Bible often represents the refreshing of God, the sending of His Spirit to help His people.   (That is one reason we have named our business River Rain Creative Arts, and our ministry River Rain Ministries. Also, when my husband and I were first dating–definitely divinely brought together!–it rained our first four times!)

Psalm 68:9 (TPT), You, O God, sent the reviving rain upon your weary inheritance, showers of blessing to refresh it.”

Psalm 72:6 (TPT), “Your favor will fall like rain upon our surrendered lives, like showers reviving the earth.”

23 Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord, your God; for He gives you the former or early rain in just measure and in righteousness, and He causes to come down for you the rain, the former rain and the latter rain, as before. 24 And the [threshing] floors shall be full of grain and the vats shall overflow with juice [of the grape] and oil. 25 And I will restore or replace for you the years that the locust has eaten—the hopping locust, the stripping locust, and the crawling locust, My great army which I sent among you. 26 And you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord, your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you. And My people shall never be put to shame.”27 And you shall know, understand, and realize that I am in the midst of Israel and that I the Lord am your God and there is none else. My people shall never be put to shame.

The past couple of days have been so refreshing to me–the weather is cool, as the gentle rain has fallen day and night. This has greatly cut down on the traffic and other noise in our neighborhood, and it’s been excellent to open the doors and windows and let the breeze blow through the screens. It has been very peaceful, and conducive to creativity!

This has been a long, hard, dry season for many Believers–sometimes not even our faults. It has been a time of testing, but the LORD is good and is using all things to strengthen and prepare us for the amazing RAIN of His Presence and Glory that is coming upon the earth! So draw near to Him and let His Word and ways RAIN on you, for the times of refreshing have come!

Now THAT’s the right kind of rain! And you can pray for the refreshing of the LORD right now: “LORD, thank You for Your presence, even when I don’t feel it. Please rain on me right now Your refreshing Grace, Your Holy Spirit. I receive it and thank You for it. In Jesus’ name, amen!”

Truth Wrapped in Mercy

“Moses gave us the Law, but Jesus, the Anointed One,
unveils truth wrapped in tender mercy.”
— The Passion Translation, John 1:17

Don’t you love that? God through Jesus loves us enough to tell us the truth (always!), but is very merciful and kind, compassionate, patient, and understanding; always leading us deeper into loving relationship with Him.

HALLELUJAH!!!  HOW GOOD IS OUR GOD!!!

And, if you don’t know Jesus Christ, here’s a secret: Jesus is truly the most easy and loving Person to know–and He is eager and excited to help you and become your Friend for life! If you want to have Him in your life from now on, just say this prayer: “LORD, I need You to please forgive me for all I’ve done wrong. I know You are holy and in Your amazing Love, You wanted me to be free and cleansed and fit to live with You in Heaven. I ask that Jesus come into my heart and be my LORD and Savior and very best Friend, so that I may know Him on earth and get to live with You and Him in Heaven after my body dies. I receive Jesus now, in Your Name, amen! Thank You!”

And, when you ask in the Name of Jesus (meaning whatever is His will when you use that name), YOU GET! So now, Jesus and the holy angels are having a party in Heaven–over YOU coming into the Royal Family! And the next step is to find a Holy Bible, and a church that really lives it. If you need prayer or guidance about any of these things, write us at Ministry@RiverRainCreative.com!

Jesus Esta Vivo!

Marcos 16:7 Nueva Versión Internacional (NVI) Pero vayan a decirles a los discípulos y a Pedro: “Él va delante de ustedes a Galilea. Allí lo verán, tal como les dijo”.

Mark 16:7 (TPT), Run and tell his disciples, even Peter, that he is risen. He has gone ahead of you into Galilee and you will see him there, just like he told you.”

Mateo 28:6 (NVI)
No está aquí, pues ha resucitado, tal como dijo. Vengan a ver el lugar donde lo pusieron.

Matthew 28:6, ” He isn’t here—he has risen victoriously, just as he said! Come inside the tomb and see the place where our Lord was lying.”

Salmos 97:11 Nueva Versión Internacional (NVI):  “La luz se esparce sobre los justos, y la alegría sobre los rectos de corazón.”

In English, The Amplified Classic version reads (Psalm 97:11), Light is sown for the [uncompromisingly] righteous and strewn along their pathway, and joy for the upright in heart [the irrepressible joy which comes from consciousness of His favor and protection].”

Jesus–JesuCristo El Senor–Jesus Christ the LORD–is alive! No matter what is going on around us, He is our Help! He is our Strength! He is our Defender! He is our Provider! He is our Peace! He is our JOY!

True joy can only come from within–from Jesus Christ, Who is the Spirit of God, Who is the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22), so if we have Him, we have joy.

He’s helping me and others I know to realize that, if our joy is not apparent, then we either (1) need to ask Him to show us where to repent about something (because sin grieves our good, good Father Who loves us, and also grieves our spirits that are one with Him the moment we receive Christ; or (2) take authority over the lies of the enemy and remind ourselves of the wonderful Truth of the Word, Who cannot lie.

I really like the verse that states, “Light (revelation, understanding of God’s will, and especially of His love for us) is shed for the uncompromisingly just and righteous (which we are, the moment we receive Christ Jesus–because righteousness is based on what HE did at the cross, not on what WE do or don’t do! Thank God!), and irrepressible (unable to be held down, like a beach ball continually rising to the top when pushed under water, where it absolutely refuses to stay down!) joy shed for the upright in heart (again, upright–in right standing with God–is what we are in our spirits, our REAL selves, the moment we receive Christ Jesus in our hearts!).”

If you don’t know Christ, know that He died for you and wants to become your Savior, LORD, and Best Friend Forever–and He is serious about you! Just close your eyes and pray, “LORD Jesus, I believe You died for me on the cross and rose again, and live forever. I believer You are returning to take all who believe in You to Heaven, to Paradise, to live forever, when this body dies. I need You, Holy LORD, to please forgive me and save me, cleanse me, heal me. I know You are the Source of Life, and I receive You. Thank You!

He has already made the way; He’s just waiting for you to agree and let Him be your Savior and Friend. HE IS THE MAN! He loves you and has a wonderful Plan for your life–better than you’ve ever dreamed! So go for it–what are you waiting for?!

Jesus esta vivo! He is alive, and good, and waiting for YOU–to give you much more joy and abundant life (John 10:10) than you can imagine!

It Just Gets Better

Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear, revere, and worship You, goodness which You have wrought for those who trust and take refuge in You before the sons of men!”         –Psalm 31:19

As one preacher we listen to says, “It (God’s goodness) just gets gooder and gooder!”

As he (Brother Dave, on www.moorelife.org) knows, that may be bad English, but it’s so true!

God is GOOD. ALL good. I am continually amazed at His goodness–even to me while I was doing many things against Him (some I knew about, some I didn’t, but I was still doing them. He is so merciful!)

There is NO evil in Him, nor does He cause evil. He is holy. He is righteous. He is true–He is Truth!

But you don’t have to take my word for it. Take His!

God is up to any challenge you can make. He can handle it. He–Jesus Christ–IS “The Man”!

Thank God He DID come as a man–so He could experience all the junk you and I will ever go through, and then pay for it–so we could go FREE!

Call to Him to make Himself known to you today. He will!

It’s Available Now!

“2 Corinthians 6:2,” (TPT), “For he says, I listened to you at the time of my favor. And the day when you needed salvation, I came to your aid. So can’t you see? Now is the time to respond to his favor! Now is the day of salvation!”

“The funds will be available tomorrow, right?” I asked the bank clerk. She smiled. “It’s available now,” she said. “Immediately.”

“Now? Today?” I was surprised, and pleased. But it made sense. It was, after all, my money, and it should be available immediately for me to do with what I wanted. Just because I gave it to someone else to hold did not mean I had to wait to use it.

And so it is with the Blessings of my Covenant with God, I reasoned to myself. (Reasoning can be a trap, and against the truth of God, if it goes against what the Word said. But the LORD also says, in Isaiah 1:18 (ESV),
“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”

Jesus is ready now to help you. He has been ready for over 2,000 years (John 3:15-17), when He came to be born of a virgin, live on earth, die on the cross to pay for all we humans did wrong, and to rise again after three days–all to give us an amazing, abundant, satisfying, wealthy life (John 10;10)! Call out to Him in earnest, and He will answer (Isa. 65:24, Romans 10:13). Then you will start the greatest adventure of your life!

Look at the Clouds

Matthew 26:64 [TPT), Jesus answered him, “You just said it yourself. And more than that, you are about to see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of God, the Almighty. And one day you will also see the Son of Man coming in the heavenly clouds!”

Psalm 68:34 (TPT), Give it up for God, for he alone has all the strength and power! Proclaim his majesty! For his glory shines down on Israel. His mighty strength soars in the clouds of glory.

Matthew 24:30 (TPT), Then the sign announcing the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn over him. And they will see the Son of Man appearing in the clouds of heaven, revealed with mighty power, great splendor, and glory.”

Clouds fascinate me, and I know I saw a heart (like the one people do with their hands) in the clouds today from My Daddy God to me, as I was driving and singing and praying on this lovely afternoon.

Today also clouds were all across the sky, lined up as if in ranks, like an army. This reminded me of Psalm 57:9 and 10: “I’m thanking you, God, out loud in the streets, singing your praises in town and country. The deeper your love, the higher it goes; every cloud is a flag to your faithfulness.

I have heard at least one pastor state that clouds in the Scriptures are often angels. That would make sense–for instance when the LORD returns and we who truly believe (John 3:16, Romans 10:13) rise to go with Him to Heaven: 1 Thessalonians 4:17 (TPT), “Then we who are alive will join them, transported together in clouds to have an encounter with the Lord in the air, and we will be forever joined with the Lord.”

So join me and look up! Our redemption is very near!

Flow and Go

1 O God, make the king a godly judge like you
and give the king’s son the gift of justice too.
2 Help him to give true justice to your people,
honorably and equally to all.
3 Then the mountains of influence will be fruitful,
and from your righteousness
prosperity and peace will flow to all the people.
4 May the poor and humble have an advocate with the king.
May he consider the children of the poor
and crush the cruel oppressor. — Psalm 72, TPT

I had the leading to look up “flow” in the Word, and found 72 verses with those words. A few had “flower” but most had to do with water; God’s spirit flowing.

When His Spirit flows, He brings life, for He is the Living Water (John 4, John 7)!

If your life seems dry and thirsty today, ask the LORD to refresh you with His living water.

Truth Treats

The Truth will Set You Free    (John 8:30-32): “As Jesus spoke these things, many believed in Him. So He said to the Jews who had believed Him,“If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”… Berean Study Bible

from Acts 4:19, 20: “…Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.”

It is Written!

Luke 4:8   And Jesus replied to him, Get behind Me, Satan! It is written, You shall do homage to and worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.

The other day, a few weeks ago, I heard something that shocked me. I just could not find agreement in my heart in any way with what this leader said: “If it’s not written down, it didn’t happen.”

Really. There were many things I thought about that, but I had to give them to God. I am not the judge, and it’s a good thing. I also had to release disappoinment at this leader to the LORD. Truly, our hope and expectation must come from God alone, for He alone is Truth, and He IS integrity!

So, that made me all the more thankful that Jesus, Who is God, not only said, “It is written,” but wrote everything down in the Holy Bible so we can understand our rights, and enjoy them in this world!

And Jesus did not just cause the Truth to be written. He fulfilled what was written by really submitting Himself to the will of God; by being crucified on the cross, rising again, and ascending to Heaven, but not leaving us comfortless. He sent the Holy Spirit–His Spirit–to be with us always; to lead and guide and warn and encourage us.

But you don’t have to believe me. IT IS WRITTEN. Go find a Bible (www.Biblegateway.com is an excellent resource!) and check it out for yourself!

Reviews of Spirit Songs and Stories

Hi there.  How are you? l am fine. l just read the copy and its awesome.       I have just finished reading the story of “The Butterfly and the Mimosa”….great story. For me, really, the message is that God made me special with a specific mission in this life. That mission is to be a blessing to fellow human beings. Also, it’s good to know that I can achieve the purpose of God simply by being me and not trying to be somebody else. God made me special…Amen. The small things we do for others go a long way in making them “alive and well”. As Jesus said, as you did to the least of my brothers so you did unto me. I will take time to be a blessing to someone today.           l like the story on “The King’s Horse,” because at the end of the story, there is a great lesson on realising the real reason for Jesus’s return- to gather people to himself. The story is very creative and l feel really Holy Spirit inspired. lt gives lessons on the need to work together and have a desire to carry the king “in our hearts”. There is a sense of humour in the story at the same time giving important lessons for our daily walk as Christians. After finishing the story, my heart just fell in love with Jesus all the more…l want my life to be the vessel that carries the Lord.       Poems—Sweet and sound. The poems are centered on biblical characters who we can relate to as human beings. People like Gideon and Jonah definitely each us the importance of obedience, patience and listening to the voice of God in our day to day walk as believers.  lt’s gratifying to note that in the lives of believers, God always shows himself strong. He intervenes with power and might. ln the story of Gideon, God proved himself as a mighty deliverer. Mighty to save. For Zaccheus, am encouraged to know that l can never stray too far from God. He will always be there to look out for me. Great reminders of God’s everlasting love.       Great work. You are a gifted writer and am glad you are  doing to the extension of God’s kingdom.                      —Regards, Muleba M., Lusaka, Zambia

Thank God This is Not All There Is!

I had this thought today, as the pressure–once again–tried to stifle me, drag me down. Thank God, I thought, remembering my pastor’s words, what I do on earth is the shortest thing I’ll ever do.

Pressure had been coming from many angles lately. I knew that God was moving mightily in my life, and the devil didn’t like it. But he is DEFEATED and has nothing to say about it. And he uses the same old tricks anyway.

It’s a different season–unique from any the earth has ever seen–and I will not be denied all that is mine. I am a Covenant woman, a Covenant child. My Father is the King of kings, and He is restoring to me all that has been lost–and it’s not small!

The LORD had been giving me grace to remind me to “look beyond what I see,” and remember the real reason I was in certain Assignments, so that when the enemy stirred up trouble, I would remember who I am, where I am seated, the authority I have, and be strengthened to finish the race on earth to His glory. AMEN.

I am excited, and so very thankful to be part of what God is doing in the earth. I am so very thankful that He has been teaching me His ways. Who am I, that He should think of me, consider me? Yet I am very precious to Him; He gave His Son, Jesus, for me! He gave me His Word!

His Word is true. His Word is unfailing. His Word is life.

Mark 13:31, Heaven and earth will perish and pass away, but My words will not perish or pass away.” (AMPC)

Earthly life without Christ can never fully satisfy. If you need proof, think of the many people with all kinds of fame and money, who have destroyed themselves from grief and the inability to quench their desires–unfulfilled because they did not have Jesus Christ.

Seek God, and He will show you and fill you and give you true riches. Ask Him to help you seek Him, and you will not be disappointed! You will gain a whole new life, a whole new world–one that is unfading and eternal, full of peace and bliss, because the Savior Himself will be there with you–forever!

Isaiah 45:19 (AMPC) I have not spoken in secret, in a corner of the land of darkness; I did not call the descendants of Jacob [to a fruitless service], saying, Seek Me for nothing [but I promised them a just reward]. I, the Lord, speak righteousness (the truth—trustworthy, straightforward correspondence between deeds and words); I declare things that are right.”
